CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Just picked up the new one, Eyes Open. Great album, I love Chasing Cars. It still blossoms into a gorgeous climax that I don't tire of, even after I've heard it so many times.

See...no matter how many times I've heard "Chasing Cars", I never seem to tire of it. And believe me, seems like every station in town besides the rap ones are playing it.

On their frst album they were trying to be the Beta band, then they realised there was more money to be made in trying to be Coldplay. Seems to have worked out for them. Can't really blame them for going for the radio friendly sound.

That good? I think they are getting better as time goes on, their songs have gained more depth and breadth.They're my favourite band. I went to see them in December here in Dublin, they were good and at times great.
I'd recommend the support act at that concert too, 'Director'

i'm totally loving snow patrol at the moment, i like them cuz they seem different... my favourite songs seem to have simple lyrics yet they go so deep....

I think I got the wrong impression of them. Their other songs from recent times are far better than 'Chasing Cars'.
Here's random, but in NZ we have this U Choose 40 thing on one of our channels, and the theme was 'Love Songs', and wouldn't you know it, 'Chasing Cars' beat out 'I Don't Want To Miss A Thing' by Aerosmith (which used to always be #1 in those themes.)
