Isn't knowing the difference between_good and evil_a part of the holy spirit? If not the basis?

Ok. The serpent opens your eyes through breathing in the holy spirit and you say that the snake is evil?

It doesn't make sense to me, in the way that somehow the snake is evil and cursed. Afterall, without the difference of knowing good and evil you would not know the holy spirit, right?

And it doesn't make sense to me that God would plant a tree, tell Adam about it and intend Adam not to use it; even though mans' curiosity would lead to a taste of forbidden fruit.

So God goes around planting trees, telling people about them; and expects man will not disobey--the dumbest command in the world. A command, if disobeyed, would lead man on the path to the holy spirit.

Isn't the snake the hero of the stupid tale of Genesis?

Afterall, the snake, breathed or placed a seed, within man, all of which would lead man into the hands of God (I don't mean your God of supersticion; but the true God who is a being of reason and logic.

Interesting argument. It sounds a lot like Gnosticism.
I think a lot of people here won't like that idea because it turns the idea of original sin on its head (i.e. disobeying god is good). It implies that the creator god (typically "God the Father") is evil and deceptive for keeping us ignorant, and is separate from the Holy Spirit (and Jesus), who give us knowledge.

P.E.A.C.E and Blessings...

The Snake isn't evil, it represents the lower self, the animal self. It isn't evil and it isn't to blame for the fall of man. It just represents the ability to live out of the Animal Spirit, thought and action born of selfish desires, the ego. We have the choice to eat from the tree of Good and Evil (based on the Animal perception of Good and Evil) or to eat from the Tree of Life.
