Hello everyone,
I am brand new to this forum and joined because Im going through a very difficult time in my life and seeking out some fellowship.
Ive decided to give up smoking, which Ive been doing on a daily basis for eight years. It is taking its toll on my lifestyle and health and I dont want it to go any further.
Long story short:
Three days ago was the quit date.
Today I had a relapse, but got Chantix.
Re-Scheduled date of smoking cessation is Nov 24th
Here is an idea if there is anyone out there in the same boat as me. Im somewhat competitive in nature and think that this would be a good motivator. If there is anyone who wants to quit within a week or so of me, would you like to have a friendly competition?
Rules are just this:
Quit within a week of Nov 24th 2006 (the day after Thanksgiving).
Those who make it until Christmas with no form of tobacco use will receive a prize. I dont know what yet, but it will depend on how many participants there are.
We can keep each other accountable and it can be continued if necessary.
I am determined to beat this addiction. Are you?
