CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

In case you guys didn't know...Mitch passed about two or so years ago. I think it was a heart condition of some kind. Very sad.

Ya, I kinda mentioned it earlier, referring to him in the past tense, but didn't want to bring down the thread by saying it outright. It is sad that he's gone. Apparently he was on track to have his own TV sit-com when he passed away. I've read that drugs may have been a factor (and he did mention drugs he did quite often in his routines). But I don't think anything was ever officially confirmed.No-way!

Seeking God's Will
I found out like a year after he passed...so I went thru that feeling too. He did have some sort of drug problem but also had heart problems. My guess it was a combo of both that got him. Sad either way. I honor him my letting him live in my sig!!No-way!
