Anyone here a fellow Smallville fan? It's my favorite show, currently, though I can't say I've liked the dark changes it's undergone lately. The content seems to be getting a little worse as the series goes on, but I still am very addicted to it, and a lot of this season's episodes HAVE been good.

My favorite character on the show is Chloe Sullivan -- she's beautiful, spunky, intelligent, has a quick wit, and I have to admit that I have a crush on her (crushes on fictional characters can be fun from time to time).

I'm really looking forward to seeing the rest of Season 3. I've read some spoilers, and it sounds like it'll be a pretty cool ride up to the finale! My favorite episodes this season have probably been "Perry," since it introduced us to a character that will be so influential to Clark later in life, "Shattered," because it was a major turning point in the lives of several key characters, and "Delete," because it was so Chloe-centric, and just plain cool.

Your thoughts?

Lex Luthor might be the best-developed, most-nuanced, most-complex character on any show and Michael Rosenbaum was born to play that role. I'm willing to put up with the increasingly comic-book-like villains and other characters just to see what happens with Lex.

I love Smallville, but it should really be renamed "The Lex Luthor Show." Man, Michael Rosenbaum is an amazing actor. Whnever he's on the screem, you can't not watch him. The slow, tragic progression of Lex from neglected son to wrathful adult is fascinating.

Lana needs to be gone. Kristen Kreuk is cure, but the character is going nowhere.

I like Pete Ross - too bad they never give him anything to do. The eternal sidekick.

I, too, like Chloe - she and Clark need to get together.

Clark Kent is almost as compelling as Lex. A lot of people malign Tom Welling's acting, and I admit that it seems like he has only two expressions - surprised and puppy-dog hurt. But some of the lines the writers give him are very subtle, and we can see the martyr/messiah complex developing that will compel him to don the cape.

I LOVE the Kents! Although that poor family has lost more red trucks, tractors, and farm building than I care to count.

i stopped watching about halfway through the second season when the show started picking up the pace with all the romantic triangle shenanigans. (that and in my area it was moved to be the same time as Enterprise and i couldn't record both since i worked nights)

it took me a couple shows to recognize good ol Bo Duke :D glad to see him poking fun at the Dukes every once in a while too. had never noticed the lack of thanks by Clark, that's rather interesting seeing how polite he usually is. there's a ton of subtleties the writers have put in, makin me wish i'd kept up with the series...

anyone know if it's coming on dvd anytime soon?

The one where Lex starts to go crazy and almost kills his Dad and weak Clark Kent?

I didn't see the first half hour and was wondering what happened and how Lex became infected. Who's fault was it really?

In my mind, this was the most emotional episode (even for me--a guy). To see Lex in padded cell with his arms all tied up, looking like the entire world had turned it's back on him, and then to see for once the true (??) emotions of MR. Luthor when he was watching his son. It was just so sad. I kept hoping that Clark would zip in and save the day, clearing up Lex's name so that they could all live "happilly ever after" but no...he didn't come.

So it's an old episode...huh?
Does anyone know how Lex recovered, and does he remember anything?

Samuel
Yeah, old episode from the beginning of the season. They have been playing a ton of reruns lately.

Lex recovers, but doesn't remember...sorta. Its an ongoing story plot (his memory I mean).

"Smallville" is my favorite show on television, but I actually just recently started watching it. I was interested in it long before I actually saw an episode though, because of the premise and the characters. Then in September I turned on the television, expecting to see the EasyView rerun of the third season premeire. But thankfully, that was the night the WB began showing "Smallville: Beginnings" (Season 1 reruns) and I got to see the first episode! I was hooked! From then on I tried to watch every Sunday, and about a month ago finally got the first season set. I started watching the Season 3 episodes starting with "Delete," and saw "Shattered" (awesome episode!) on the reruns last week. Since "Smallville: Beginnings" is now showing Season 2 epsodes I'm still watching that, hoping to catch up in time for the release of the Season 2 set and the Season 3 finale in May!
