I hope that's true! It's actually really gotten quite good over the past couple of seasons. It started strong, faltered for a while and then got a lot better. It would be a shame if they don't go out with a bang.Smallville just resigned for a 10th season! Woohoo!
Will Clark ever turn into Superman at least in the finale?
They show hints of the "cape" in visions etc. If the actor does not want to wear the costume maybe on the last show they can show a cgi superman flying off in the distance.
Are they going to make another Superman movie on the big screen in the near future?
Cool! They are indeed. I can't remember whose writing/directing, but Chris Nolan (director of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight) is 'god fathering' the project, helping it sheppard it along.
Apparently they have a saying, something like "no flights, no tights".
Do you have any documentation references to back that up?Tom Welling is afraid of heights and is just being stubborn about tights. The saying "no flights no tights" is just for him.
He is deathly afraid of heights so he doesn't want to have to fly around on wires.
The whole tights deal is him just being a weenie. He doesn't want to wear them. Its in his contract that he doesn't have to...

The persona of Smallville's Clark Kent is that he is afraid of heights. But I've not read or heard anything about Tom Welling being afraid of heights. (Also, they have had him "fly" in previous shows when under the influence of red kryptonite). And the guy is a professional actor. I can't imagine he'd have something as silly as "not wearing the Superman costume" in his contract for a show about Superman. Sorry, I don't mean to be critical, but it just sounds really unlikely.
Ps. I love the kryptonsite!
Well there's certainly no reason they can't come up with a new spin on the style of the costume. And they're at a point where they do need to keep moving in bold new directions if they're going to keep the show running. I would like to see him flying this season as well. They've had to go to some pretty crazy lengths to keep him from it in the past few seasons.
