Im sorry but any band that performs with the letters 666 at either side of there stage are a problem to me. I think there music is a gimmic to to be honest. Everything about them is gimmicked and people wonder why they are a sucess. My problem is the fact that i see kids (anywhere from 5 - 18) running around in t shirts and tops with 666 and many other things on them to do with the band.kindergoth441 said:Okay...I love SlipKnot...lol, I'm going to their concert on the 24th of April...And as any other of these topics. Music can fill you with different emotions, anger, sorrow, happiness...but we all have the choice to decide what we want to do with these emotions...You can't blame ANY music for someone going out and shooting people or causing violence...it's just not taking the responsibility for your own actions...
I'm listening to SlipKnot right now, and I'm as peaceful as ever![]()

For those of you against them for "666" reasons, you are aware that at least 50% of the band are theist, if not Christian, are you not? They use their image to look different from all the other bands you see everyday. It is good marketing to have your fans recognize you and your opposition remember you. Sure many of their lyrics can be blasphemous, but that's no reason to rule out their ability.
So they're not allowed to look their own way, curse sometimes and inspire unity within those lesser classes of teenage sub-groups and still be a "good christian" in your eyes?Bayhawks83 said:it doesnt really matter if one says their a christian, its more important they act it. to say your a christian and act bad is worse.
I'm with you on this one.blackwasp said:The genre is a joke. The problem is that people find this to be music.
