"Sleeper" movies

So what are the best movies you've seen that completely bombed in the theate (if they were there at all)?

I love Big Trouble with Tim Allen and Rene Russo and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang with Val Kilmer is pretty funny too.

Serenity came out a couple years ago and did terrible in theaters and that is one of the best movies I have ever seen. It is amazing

yeah I love Big Trouble, Serenity and Hackers... great movies! Can't think of others off the top of my head, but I do tend to like movies that don't do well in the theatre...

Duck Soup (Marx Brothers movie) bombed in the theaters when it was released, but it is very funny

Serenity was good, I have no idea how Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang would have bombed but that's really good as well.

I loved Serenity. But Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang was just boring. Or maybe it's just Robert Downey, Jr.

Another sleeper was Bubble. Good little indie film with non-actors by Soderbergh.

And Ultraviolet. Good camp-ish, sci-fi fun. Anything with someone as hot as Mila Jovovich toting guns and killing lackeys and everyone is good.

Hmm, I wasn't impressed with Serenity.

I never pay attention to what is successful in theaters so I wouldn't know which of my faves were sleepers or not.

Serenity, but I think it helps if you've seen Firefly, cause there's bits that aren't really explained.... I can't really think of any others off the top of my head...
