• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

anyone else having trouble falling asleeep. ah! i take so long falling asleep, and i'm constantly worry that i'll be mentally sick, for physically sick, if i can't get enough rest. then i get up at 12 the next day, which gets on my nerves. worst of all, i'm tired through out the day.

( telling me to see my pyschiatrist won't help. according to his secretary, he's booked till next year.)

I know exactly what you're talking about. I got up at 10:00 yesterday morning, went to bed at almost 7:00 this morning and got back up before 10:00 am. I'm sure with ya on the not sleeping thing. I found myself talking to the robot last night, for it took me a while to find someone to talk too. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Sorry to hear about your sleeping patterns.
Being bipolar we always fall into that slepping "thing" at one point in our bipolar lives. I am on serequol, ( which helps in sleeping )plus lamictal ( another sleeping med) plus a muscle relaxer ( really a sleeping med)and last of all klonipin. (anxiety med) These meds put me to sleep right away, but, then, !1 hour after taking them, I'm up all night!
I really know what you are going through, I sleep during the day and my husband and kids get really mad at me but,Bipolar affects the entire family and I am so sorry for that.
I am rambling soryy,
I will pray for you!!!!
GOD BLESS!!!

Sister Vibrant,

If worrying keeps you from sleeping, let me show this from the Bible:

Therefore I tell you,
do not worry about your life,
what you will eat or what you will drink,
or about your body, what you will wear.

You can read the whole passage from Matthew 6:25 through 34. After reading it, will you kindly write your thoughts here? Do these words of Jesus seem irrelevant? I hope we can talk about this passage soon.

Rupert
