hi,

i often feel a little more than selfish for asking prayer for myself, but there's more reasons other than myself i ask for prayer. i have sleep apnea which is a sleeping disorder that can cause heart disease, heart attacks, strokes and possibly even death. also the disease gets worse with age, and while i'm only 27 this has still more than bummed me out.
there is no way to rid myself of this other than surgery and i cannot afford that. the other way is to wear a mask while i sleep that breathes for me for the rest of my life and if the truth be known i cant afford that either.
so i ask for prayers for anyone who would want to. also pray for my wife. although she is always encouraging i know this worries her, especially after her cousin said his boss at work died last year from sleep apnea. i know it doesnt sound serious, but it can be. any prayers would be great. i just want what God wants and i hope through this His name is given glory.

Do you know of a sleep center near you? My sister suffers from the same problem… there is help out there, and you needn’t resign yourself to this.

Heavenly Father, please help Sword, with his sleep difficulties; please guide him to professionals who can be of support and help to relieve him of his suffering; may he find a resolution to his problem, and have hope and healing; please bring him comfort, and protection, and help him to heal and rest well. Please keep Sword in your hand in your loving arms and tender care. If it is possible, lay your hands upon him and let his sleep apnea decrease in severity. Give him peace about his illness. Please be with his wife and give her serenity and the courage to deal with this.
