  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ok, I just wanted to get your thoughts on whether or not Sky diving is kind of testing God and it might be a possiblitiy that it could be in God's eye's, suicide? I mean you have a percentage of whether or not that parachute is going to open, and you know you are risking your life everytime you jump... I'd like to have christians point of view on this please...

Well, as stated by other posters... skydiving, in itself, is not testing God. And the high death percentage? well, to drive to work is kinda dangerous (to use JetBlacks example).

But then there is of course possible for a single individual to test God, by skydiving, or to use this a "suicide-technique".. I actually just read in the papers about this guy jumoing out of a plane, after having cut loose his parachute.

But everything can be used as a tool to either testing God or suicide. And the most dangerous paths can be travelled upon by someone with a love of live and a great respect for God.
