Studying the sixth hour (when darkness come over the land) till the ninth and what it signifies, there seems to be some similiarities between these. So I figured Id post them maybe someone can add
Amos 8:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:
Mar 15:33 And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.
Isaiah 9:19 Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts is the land darkened
Mark 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Isaiah 54:7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.
Isaiah 54:8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.
This connected to the sure mercies of David which follows after which the apostles speak of in relationship to Christ (by whom we have forgiveness of sins)
For example, if we take from the last two verse, and rehighlight for emphasis, it would continue like this....
Acts 13:34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.
Acts 13:35 Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Acts 13:38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
Zech 13:1 In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.
John 9:34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
Ephes 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Amos 8:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:
