"Sir, why did you take such pains to hide yourself?"

The video ends with asking Dawkins what he would say to God after his death. He used Bertrand Russell's answer which was:
"Sir, why did you take such pains to hide yourself?"
Here are many signs of the existence of God mentioned by God Himself :
30: 20. And among His Signs is this, that He created you (Adam) from dust, and then [Hawwa' (Eve) from Adam's rib, and then his offspring from the sperm, and], - behold you are human beings scattered! =======================================

30 : 21.And among His Signs is this, that He created for you wives from among yourselves, that you may find repose in them, and He has put between you affection and mercy. Verily, in that are indeedsigns for a people who reflect.
=======================================

30: 22. And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and colours. Verily, in that are indeed signs for men of sound knowledge.
=======================================

30: 23. And among His Signs is the sleep that you take by night and by day, and your seeking of His Bounty. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who listen.
=======================================

30: 24. And among His Signs is that He shows you the lightning, by way of fear and hope, and He sends down water (rain) from the sky, and therewith revives the earth after its death. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who understand.
=======================================

30: 25. And among His Signs is that the heaven and the earth stand by His Command, then afterwards when He will call you by single call, behold, you will come out from the earth (i.e from your graves for reckoning and recompense).
=======================================

30: 46. And among His Signs is this, that He sends the winds as glad tidings, giving you a taste of His Mercy (i.e. rain), and that the ships may sail at His Command, and that you may seek of His Bounty, in order that you may be thankful.
=======================================

30:48. Allâh is He Who sends the winds, so they raise clouds, and spread them along the sky as He wills, and then break them into fragments, until you see rain drops come forth from their midst! Then when He has made them fall on whom of His slaves as He will, lo! they rejoice! 49. And verily before that (rain), just before it was sent down upon them, they were in despair! 50. Look then at the effects (results) of Allâh's Mercy, how He revives the earth after its death. Verily! That (Allâh) Who revived the earth after its death shall indeed raise the dead (on the Day of Resurrection), and He is Able to do all things.51. And if We send a wind [which would spoil the green growth (tilth) brought up by the previous rain], and they see (their tilth) turn yellow, behold, they then after their being glad, would become unthankful (to their Lord Allâh as) disbelievers.
=======================================

41:37. And from among His Signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Prostrate not to the sun nor to the moon, but prostrate to Allâh Who created them, if you (really) worship Him.
=======================================

41:39. And among His Signs (in this), that you see the earth barren, but when We send down water (rain) to it, it is stirred to life and growth (of vegetations). Verily, He Who gives it life, surely, (He) is Able to give life to the dead (on the Day of Resurrection). Indeed! He is Able to do all things.
=======================================

42: 29. And among His Ayât (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, etc.) is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and whatever moving (living) creatures He has dispersed in them both. And He is All-Potent over their assembling (i.e. resurrecting them on the Day of Resurrection after their death, and dispersion of their bodies) whenever He will.
=======================================

42:32. And among His Signs are the ships, in the sea, like mountains.33. If He wills, He causes the wind to cease, then they would become motionless on the back (of the sea). Verily, in this are signs for everyone patient and grateful. 34. Or He may destroy them (by drowning) because of that which their (people) have earned. And He pardons much.
=======================================

51: 20. And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 21. And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see?
=======================================

21: 30. Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were joined together as one united piece, then We parted them? And We have made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?
=======================================

23: 80. And it is He Who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of night and day. Will you not then understand?
=======================================

28: 71. Say (O Muhammad ): "Tell me! If Allah made night continuous for you till the Day of Resurrection, who is an ilah (a god) besides Allah who could bring you light? Will you not then hear?" 72. Say (O Muhammad ): "Tell me! If Allah made day continuous for you till the Day of Resurrection, who is an ilah (a god) besides Allah who could bring you night wherein you rest? Will you not then see?"
73. It is out of His Mercy that He has put for you night and day, that you may rest therein (i.e. during the night) and that you may seek of His Bounty (i.e. during the day), and in order that you may be grateful.
=======================================

32: 4. Allah it is He Who has created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them in six Days. Then He Istawa (rose over) the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). You (mankind) have none, besides Him, as a Wali (protector or helper etc.) or an intercessor. Will you not then remember (or be admonished)?
=======================================

32: 27. Have they not seen how We drive water (rain clouds) to the dry land without any vegetation, and therewith bring forth crops providing food for their cattle and themselves? Will they not then see?
=======================================

36: 33. And a sign for them is the dead land. We gave it life, and We brought forth from it grains, so that they eat thereof.34. And We have made therein gardens of date-palms and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein. 35. So that they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks?
=======================================

88: 17. Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? 18. And at the heaven, how it is raised? 19. And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? 20. And at the earth, how it is spread out?

Oh, and one more thing ...

If you actually want to explain stuff, you need to put some work and effort into it. It is quitea hard and arduous task. And I see none of that from either your religion or any other religion, just talk and blah.

I imagine, being as powerful as god is supposed to be, it isn't all that hard for him to hide. Also, he might just be humored by our struggle and fear.

What if God expressed that connection through your conscience or your intuition. We obviously have definitions of what those things mean to us today, but what say 3000 years ago, 5000 years ago, they would have had those same components but verbalised them differently. Also our own creative drives mask these components. Fear of change and denial to an extent mask them as well. I agree though the OP is not helping much with the detailing in his post.

The Divine isn't hidden. A person just has to tweak their perspective a bit to see it. The Mystics point towards that very thing.
.

:)

Both at the same time, depending on which "eye" we use to see the world.

Ha, neither did I. It was the thread title that sparked my interest, I skimmed the wall of text and didn’t bother stopping.
