Lord Jesus, I come before Thee, just as I am -

I am sorry for my sins, I repent of my sins, please forgive me.
In Thy Name, I forgive all others for what they have done against me.
I renounce Satan, the evil spirits and all their works.
I give Thee my entire self, Lord Jesus, and I accept Thee as my Lord God and Savior.
Heal me, change me, and strengthen me in body, soul, and spirit.
Come Lord Jesus, cover me with Thy Precious Blood, and fill me with Thy Holy Spirit.
I love Thee Lord Jesus, I praise Thee Lord Jesus, I thank Thee Jesus.
I shall follow Thee every day of my life.

Where do you have to 'ask for forgiveness' like its based on something you do???

NO
NO
NO

It is based on what JESUS did and you are forgiven already - just thank HIM for doing that for you 2000 years ago. Its not hanging on what you have done or not done, but what HE has done! Otherwise you can save yourself and others and we don't need JESUS. (which means GOD SAVES).

Now you that little bit of faith, little bit of trusting JESUS and walk out your faith, walk out knowing that the highest court in the universe has declared you not guilty but righteous!

Bless the LORD
Who alone does wonderful things
Who is so mindful and loving to HIS creation!

Now all you have to do, is walk in HIS LOVE!
And when you do, you won't fall as much.
And if you fall, run back to the fact, that you are loved and in the light!

No one is perfect, just because we are christian doesn't mean we won't sin, mess up and even do old things we thought we stopped doing. And as for being "evil", well technically we are sinners so we are evil already. Thats why Jesus brings us salvation. His blood on the cross covers our sins, even our sins we will still often do as christians.

Pray, read your bible...try to spend lots more time doing christian activities. You will start to feel a change! Sometimes it not easy because satan is always trying everything he can to draw us away from God. But its not impossible to change because NOTHING is impossible through God! :)

You know what I had the same struggles when I first became a Christian. I had a hard time kicking some sinful habits, like marijuana. You know what my greatest problem was? I tried to clean my life up instead of going to the Lord and letting him cleanse me.

Let me put it this way. You are not strong enough, you will fail if you try to be holy by your own effort. Period. The solution to this is communion with God. How is your prayer life? Know that whatsoever you ask in faith, in accordance with his will, he will give you (Matt 21:22). And it is his will that you grow in holiness and its his ultimate will that you be conformed to the image of Christ (Romans 8:29). This is a life-long journey so don't expect any kind of perfection. But you will find that as you walk with the Lord you will grow in holiness.

Try this. Go to the Lord in prayer and confess how powerless you are. Confess your sins, and ask him to cleanse you of unrighteousness. Surrender yourself to him, ask him to change you. Struggling with some sin or old habit? Tell him you want to stop but you know you don't have that power, ask him to remove that from you. The solution to EVERYTHING is to seek him! I know because this is how I've been victorious over numerous old sinful habits. God cleaned up my life, my flesh had nothing to do with it. And I STILL struggle with sin, for example I still curse a lot. But I'm bringing that to God in prayer and I know he will help me with this.

Also, feed yourself the word of God. Preach the gospel to yourself! Bask in the love of God realizing what the Lord has done for you! When you are filled with love you will not walk in darkness.

Do not lean on your own strength, remember what Jesus said.

"I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing."

Well, let's take a look at what Paul said. Seems he struggled with just what you are struggling with now.

Romans 7:13-25
13 Therefore did that which is good become a cause of death for me? May it never be! Rather it was sin, in order that it might be shown to be sin by effecting my death through that which is good, so that through the commandment sin would become utterly sinful.

14 For we know that the Law is spiritual, but I am of flesh, sold into bondage to sin. 15 For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate. 16 But if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that the Law is good. 17 So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me. 18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. 19 For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. 20 But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.
21 I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good. 22 For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man, 23 but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.

It is an ongoing struggle and will be as long as we are in the world.

1 John 1:9
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Cross references:

  1. 1 John 1:9 : Ps 32:5; Prov 28:13
  2. 1 John 1:9 : Titus 2:14

Repent, confess your sins and ask God for forgiveness. Seek the infilling of the Holy Spirit because that will change a lot about you. It will change your perspective, your impulses, your desires and it will help guard against sin in your life.

Has the lord given up.on me because sometimes it fee,so like it, I am a sinner I've tried to change for the better but always revert to my old ways and fear it might be too late for me I pray for forgiveness but kg feels like no one is listening

The bible says that there is not one righteous man on earth. Romans 3:10. Because of sin we are all naturally evil. But praise God because of Jesus we are saved by his grace. We have an example to follow, someone to run to , someone to forgive us and love us.
I know exactly how you feel but do not give up. I am happy that you do not love your sin. Instead you are running from it. Fight the good fight. :) I'll be praying for you.
