CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

For some folks it does. For me, that desire has diminished greatly. Far too comfortable being single.
Haha, most of the time I am like that. Like you are a knight dedicated to an oath, not a thought or worry of being single.
But I also get times where there is a desire for a relationship - do you ever get that still?
After seeing whats out there over the years, I completely agree.
Are you saying what is out there just is not worth it?

Lol, IMO it would be awesome finding someone you could just meet up with every now and then, sort of in a 'distant relationship'
The thought of a full on relationship kind of unnerves me, because there are times you just want to be alone and not have someone standing there every step you take.
It seems when relationships grow that couples begin spending all their time together, and you couldn't really turn your gf/bf down all the time saying you do not want to go out with them lol, otherwise they would probably soon begone.
Free time to myself is something which I would put above a relationship any day, it is an essential necessity, at least for myself.

What if the bf/gf felt the same way? Felt like they were obligated to spend every possible moment with you? I know in my past relationships i wanted a day to myself with only a good morning good night text, and maybe a text in the middle, but because of a sense of obligation, and also an insecurity that my bf would get disinterested in me and go for another woman (which happened anyway, lol).
I think that online/long distance relationships are perfect for getting closer to someone because it really teaches people howto respect space.
But on the flip side of that. Spending time with each other builds up closeness and a kind of intimacy. If there is one sound I miss from all of my bf's it would have to be the sound of their laugh. Not over the phone, not on video chat, but in person. There is nothing quite like seeing the other person laugh, see their smile feel them close to you.
