See, that's the wrong kind of cat. You have to get the RIGHT kind. You know, the cats that are affectionate and want to interact with you and don't destroy your house or smell. These cats do exist, they're just hard to come by.

I'm not a big fan of cats, actually. I have a pound puppy. Cats hate everyone. My dog lets me know who she likes and who she doesn't like - which is really helpful if a guy comes to my house. She went nuts when a co-worker's boyfriend came over - I didn't like the guy and she just confirmed my suspicions.

Edited to add: If a guy smacks me, he'd better be smacking me on the butt.

There is no such thing as the "right cat." Tigers and such are in the feline family, but they are not domesticated house cats. I have no problem with them, although not sure I would want tp pay the food bill to keep up a tiger.

I simply don't like cats. Not sure why people take it so personal. I just hate the worthless furballs.

I held a tiger cub once...it was too freaking adorable. A guy that my dad knows owns several of them. He was on the news about a year or so ago b/c one of the cats mawled one of his employees.

Like you, Finativegirl, dogs are always faithful, giving unconditional love. Cats are rather choosy and independent, although they expect that the mecessities will be there.

I like dogs, though I prefer large breeds and they be kept outside. But I just can't stand cats. I am not a huge fan of the little ankle biter dogs either. Little dogs like that bag of fleas Paris Hilton carries around. I have noticed that so many girls with the little sissy dogs treat them like a child, and the girls are usually high maintenance. High maintenance aint what I am looking for.

I like medium sized dogs - my dog now is 25 lbs. I'm not really sure what mix she is - although she definitely has Jack Russell in her - and I'm suspecting some Bassett Hound. At any rate, she's rather homely, so I named her Bella, so she wouldn't have self-esteem issues.
