CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm good...the boys are sound asleep and I just got a phone call from a good friend letting me know she and her husband closed on a house that's only an hour away from me!

I'm glad you had a nice day. My day went pretty well. I checked out a flea market a little south of where I live & found out about a scenic road tour in the area that I plan to do at some point soon. I went for an early morning walk & ended up calling 911--because I & some runners who were in the area all saw a tree fall into the road & block 1 1/2 lanes of traffic. The police officer stopped & said to me: "Yep. That's a problem." Fortunately--I was across the road & not injured. It's not everyday I go for a walk & watch a tree fall down!!
Other than that--I have had a relaxing day at the apartment. Just the 3 of us: me--myself--& I!!
Honest I'm not crazy!!

Wow - that's kinda cool about the tree. Glad no one was hurt. I had a huge lightning strike hit the preserve behind my house this afternoon. I'm glad noone was hit. You got some matchbox cars?!!! Goodness-that brings me back to my early childhood!! My brothers & I played with those as young kids. I do enjoy flea markets. There's one east of Knoxville that is even nicer than the one I went to today. But I still had a good time today.
