Single Parents

hi, I was wondering how many other single parents there are out there. I am struggling with my walk with Jesus because I am having a hard time not listening to those that are critisising me for being a single parent. I am praying about it hard and trying not to let it bother me but I find it does get to me after awhile because I have my own struggles.

I have the greatest respect for single parents... they do a great job and I think it's hard being a parent with a partner... and so I very very much respect single parents so much more for having to be able to do this without such support.

I too am a single parent...and I love my sweetblessing from Heaven but it can be trying at times and some days are tough...but we make it..God bless you...

The next time someone on this site or in real life is critical of you for being a single mom, ask them if they would feel more comfortable if you had aborted your child. That usually puts a stop to that nonsense.

I'm a single parent and it's the last thing I ever thought I would be, but nonetheless...I am and I wouldn't change a thing. I have learned to ignore anyone making judgmental commentary about my choices, I know what I had to do to ensure not only my safety (and sanity), but more importantly to give my daughters a safe and loving environment to grow up in...and I'm fine with that.

Little late, but I am a single parent too. I was also critized for being a single parent and things that where not true. I felt defeated and helpless, but if you stay close too the LORD you can raise your child(ren) the best way you know how too and the rest GOD will take care of.

Very true as I'm a single parent (have two kids) it can be hard but the good times outweigh the bad.
