Sin consciousness

As a member of the Anglicn Church, I encounter the concept of Confession and Absolution, and even while I was mostly in the Evangelican Church / Charismatic, the concept of confessing sin and recieving forgivness was a big part of my faith. latley I've begun to wonder what would happen to my relationship with God if I just stopped confessing every little sin and misdeed and concentrated on growth and progress. What if I just stopped being sin conscious altogether. What do you think

It is a balancing act. Honestly, confession is not a verbal form of asking God for forgiveness. It is a 180 degree turn-around in your life. If you sin, and you are truly sorry, you would strive to destroy that sin in your life, and never do it again. Obviously, lying is a tough one, but it is still possible to expel. Don't dwell on sin, dwell on God. But if you do sin, learn from it and move on. God says forgive and forget. God forgives you once your heart is right, for He judges man's heart. If your heart is good, only good things come out. So don't get caught up in sin, and focus on God. But don't get caught up in God that you forget about what sin is. Use your focus on God to steer clear of sin.
