Did you know that the Smurfs cartoon was in reality pro-communism propaganda?

Think about it...
Poppa Smurf looked like Karl Marx, wore red, was the only one who was allowed to be incharge...
each Smurf had a particular job that they had to do, each shared everything in the village, were under the command of Poppa Smurf, all of the food that was harvested was put into the storage mushrooms and distributed equally, "farmer Smurf" didn't sell his food to "consumer Smurf," Handy and Painter Smurf never advertized their professions or got paid - other than their share of the communal food and land, etc....
The evil Gargamel wanted to capture the Smurfs and boil them to make gold. He was the evil capitalist who was only concerned with his own greed...

Hmmm:scratch:

And just where does "Smurfette" fit into this pinko-commie plot? Enquiring minds want to know...

As a person who spent 3 years in college as a Political Science major I would just like to say that this actually made sence to me...I'm just not sure how to take that...

Andi and I are going to be spend the weekend in Houston at a "Lutheran Marriage Encounter Weekend"...I won't be on again until about Sunday evening...unless the Hotel has free internet...

actually if it does then Andi and I won't be spending that much time together...

I wonder if that's a good thing?...

Up until the Gargamel part, it sounded like the Amish or some other communal style groups.
Azreal (sp?), I think, is the name of a demon.
I do have to wonder how baby smurf came into being at the end of the cartoon run.

Don't let your worries get the best of you ... remember, Moses started out as a basket case.

*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

Some people are kind, polite, and sweet-spirited until you try to sit in their pews.

*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

Many folks want to serve God, but only as advisors.

*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

It is easier to preach ten sermons, than it is to live one.

*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

The good Lord didn't create anything without a purpose, but mosquitoes come close.

*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

When you get to your wit's end, you'll find God lives there.

*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

People are funny ... they want the front of the bus, the middle of the road, and the back of the church.

*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

Opportunity may knock once, but temptation bangs on your front door forever.

*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

Quit griping about your church .... if it was perfect, you couldn't belong.

*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

If the church wants a better pastor, it only needs to pray for the one it has.

I don't know why some people change churches ... what difference does it make which one you stay home from?

*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

A lot of church members who are singing "Standing on the Promises" are just sitting on the premises.

*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

We were called to be witnesses, not lawyers or judges.

God loves everyone, but probably prefers "fruits of the spirit" over "religious nuts."

*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.

He who angers you ... controls you.

If God is your Co-pilot ... swap seats.

The task ahead of us is never as great as the Power behind us.

The Will of God never takes you to where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Oh yeah... What I was originally going to type...
We got a new computer on Saturday. I also got a new cell phone. I have my voice mail set up on this one. :D (I got a free upgrade through Verizon)

Once you get the charges for sending and receiving messages you will come to the mature understanding that nothing you receive from cell phone companies is free!

They have performed a great service though.

Years ago people would never have put up with service that is often not available, cuts you off in the middle of conversations, not to mention typing messages on a keyboard ill suited for the task, pictures of poor resolution, and people definitely wouldn't have paid to listen to music on such devices, they were busy buying real stereos with real speakers.

I expect other service based industries to do the same. Restaurants, car mechanics, doctors are all looking at ways to provide you with what they want to give you and not what you want and still have it such that people fall over themselves to use their service.

Of course the cell phone companies just extended what computer companies did. Your software doesn't work, well buy the upgrade, it fixes that one while adding others so you can upgrade again. Remember Y2K, the one thing you couldn't do by law was sue to get the software provider make the software work or for damages from it not working.

I'm not sure why we still recall other consumer products. People are in a much better position to be able to tell that the playpen is going to collapse under use that to tell if the coding in their software will work. Yet we recall playpens and charge for telling you that the software is that way and here's a 30 stroke way to work around it if you are lucky. Otherwise-wait for the upgrade.

I have no complaints with my service. I got the new phone because it has the GPS in it, my old one didn't. I don't text message, have a camera phone, or anything else. I use it for what it is. A phone. I have never gone over on minutes. I have more than I could possibly use in one month. I've never had to pay over the contract price, and I have never lost reception. :D

I have Sprint. . .I only have a new cell phone from about six months ago because they gave it to me for being a long time customer. I needed it, too, so that's wonderful that it happened. I have tetris and lost and found ringtones. I had a free web trial on it at one time because they offered it, and then I cancelled it It was text only and really hard and boring. I use it as a phone and I do play tetris when I'm bored. I made and uploaded my lost and found ringtones when I had the free web trial.

I think they actually have the techonology for implants already. It's not used, but I think they have it. I may be wrong, though. Just seems I heard something like that.
