Anyone here like the simpsons? they have some funny view about religion and stuff like that

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

i never saw this thread but yes count me as a simpson viewer.i do think it's become outlandish at times. it's not for young kids to watch like in the beginning.i have the feeling though its time is up.do you feel this too?
it's like watching the farside on tv,it goes a bit too far sometimes for some viewers.

I love The Simpsons.
But jcpaid4me, was there really a need for 5 posts in a row there when they were only a few minutes apart? Sometimes it takes a bit of time for people to reply.

SImpsons bore me now. Family Guy is in. Simpsons was more of a 90's culture show. Family Guy takes it one step further. Family Guy is what the Simpsons would be if it started around the turn of the new millenium.

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.
from seasons 2-6 the show was great. Season 1 was OK. The rest are bad. They should have quit around 1998. Why can't people be more like Bill Watterson and quit while they are ahead instead of running their creation into the ground and ruining any dignity it had? Case in point:the degeneration of Homer from "a tad dull with some scheming" to "insane idiot".

Ditto here, but I am collecting the DVDs and am eagerly awaiting for more seasons to come out on DVD. I watch the new episodes on Fox on occassion, and nearly watch it every weekday in syndication.
