What just came to mind for me is that the light flooding in, is possible because the "eye" mind/heart is "open" to God and His Word and therefore His (God's) TRUTH and LIGHT flood in that "eye", which is akin to a window with light flooding in through it.

It's not "closed". And therefore, there's no "darkness" in that body.

It is literally "flooded" with Light to overflowing.

In symbolism the eye is the soul, the opposite of one being two, alas you cannot serve two masters, there is only one son, and this son is not divided.

The eye that is single is fixed on one well, which then becomes the narrative we drink of, one son from before the beginning, and where to God we have always been as this to him ... being it is the father that reveals the son, which become by default, being married to him ... this is the seed of the woman ...

There are unending ways to see, that are as by comparison night and day, to when it is just heard by the hearing of the ear.

Whenever i am overwhelmed, i remember the simplicity that Christ taught us.

Matthew 11:28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Religion and denominations can be very contentious and lacking edification. For that reason i embrace simplicity. No denomination, no teachers, no contention. The apostles gave us the New Testament and that is my teacher. I also learn from others through online fellowship. Everything gets tested online, and so my beliefs are tested against scripture. I have endured so much contention and heartache. For that reason i see simplicity as the light burden, and easy yoke, of Christ. I feel as if im free. Its so wonderful. Christ alone is my motto.

I agree to not change my beliefs and what God has shown me just because a denomination may state it - you are right on that, to live by simplicity of the faith. That said, I did choose a denomination originally based on wanting to have communion and had to choose a church that saw it as more than symbolic since it was important to me. I also was turned off by the non-denominational churches I've visited in my area. I like the Methodist church because they are not strict you must believe in every detail of every doctrine they generally teach - I'm a bit of a rebel, so I usually don't , so that just wouldn't work for me.
