  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

In fifth grade, a home schooled girl named Pearl, was sent to elementary school for the first time in her life.
On the first morning, her teacher handed out a worksheet with a short story to read and questions to answer.
During recess, she corrected their work.

Pearl’s answers were unique.

Question 1: “Where does the story take place?”

Her answer, “Didn’t you read it? The story says where it takes place, you silly.”

Question 2: “What color is the girl’s shirt?”

Her answer, “What?! Are you brainless? Don’t you know your colors?”

Instead of feeling shock, her teacher guessed Pearl hadn’t seen a worksheet before.

After recess, she called Pearl to her desk asking if she understood that answering questions on a worksheet
was just like raising her hand and answering a question the teacher might ask in class.

“I didn’t know that,” Pearl admitted.

“So you didn’t mean to call me “brainless”, did you?” the teacher asked kindly.

Pearl’s eyes widened in fear. Her hand covered her mouth.

“And you won’t do it again,” the teacher smiled.

“Nooo!” Pearl blurted.

When we don’t know the rules its easy to mess-up.
A kindhearted teacher forgives such mistakes, and then explains the rules.
When we know the rules, we become accountable.
We know God’s rules for living, “Love God above all things, and love our neighbors as ourselves.”
It’s a simple rule to understand. Now that we know it, we’re accountable.

Let’s Pray: Dear God, show us how your love as we follow your teachings,
no matter how difficult, no matter how hard. Amen.

God’s rule is simple – love.

Yes, God's rules are so simple...but we cannot even begin to obey and fullfill them without His Spirit.

"Abide in Me, and I in you. AS the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

Jesus, Himself coined the Golden Rule! Have often wondered  how many people realize that HE did!?! Same for the sowing and reaping principle, is it recognized as originating from the Bible!?!

Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Galatians 6:7-10 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
