CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

...god, it sucks getting old. By that, of course, I mean having a job that forces me to get up at 6:00 a.m., which puts me in a catatonic state on the couch by 10:00 p.m.
The only times I get to catch Conan anymore are Friday nights, and even then I have to prepare myself to stay up that late by shooting Diet Dr. Pepper and chasing it with Hershey's Kisses...

I probably shouldn't be staying up to watch him every night. I get up for work at 8:00AM and then I go to my second job at 4:00PM, where I work until about 10:00PM. The thing is, I am a night person, so if I ever want to get anything accomplished I am forced to do it at night, which generally puts me in bed at about 2:00AM or so.
That is actually an improvement. I used to stay up and watch the new Conan episode and then stay awake to see the rerun episode that airs at like 3:00 or so.
Hey, one day a week is better than nothing. And his Friday shows are generally pretty good.
