^ I've been wondering pretty much since i joined the forums....whats this mean?

Seriously, there were some pretty trying times for TAW when CF was trying to figure out what it ever wanted to become...or not become... So, and I cannot remember who first posted this as his/her signature, but it reflected the schismatic nature of what was going on here at CF... it's a joke!

Anyone have a better memory than I do on this?

Well they're both right. But (although it's before my time) I think Rob is referring to a time (around 2004, I think) when CF was trying to decide what a Christian was. As it turned out, they at least went in the right direction by using the Nicene Creed as the standard, but back then there were even disputations about that.

Yes,....the insanity began in 2006....I was not even chrismated yet and was elevated from moderator to supervisor...and then to Administrator when Rob fell ill.... Things went really nuts during the spring-early summer of 2007.

It got so bad in Dec of 2006 that I left the faith even before my own chrismation.....only to return after Easter (Pascha) of 2007 ....took a long time for me to get reoriented with Orthodoxy....some of that blamed on the 06-07 CF crisis...

At any rate, that is a long story to say....thank God I made it home!

It was when the Wikonian Reforms of 07/07/07 had tragically been implemented and CF was back on the Internet. In spite of a 700 strong vote "no" to changes vs. a mere 300 "yes", the powers that be decided to change anyway.

We in TAW hated it. I also have a wicked sense of humor which Fr. Vasily Vasilievich would be proud of (he's even my spiritual father! )

So, I posted a poll which originally had three options: the True Ancient Way, the Ancient Way in Exile, and the Genuine Ancient Way. The TAW community at large added many many ideas to it which included but were not limited to baklavas, Fr. Vasily, the Onion Dome, in Exile Outside CF, etc etc etc.

In the end it was finally Nestoj, our friendly neighborhood Serb, who first coined "The One True Old Posters of the Genuine Ancient Way in Exile From Christian Forums Resistance in Communion with Baklavas Synod in Exile Abroad".
