I know it's a movie topic, but it's game related.

Is anyone else excited about the Silent Hill Movie?

Silent Hill is one of my favorite series, and I still maintain that SH2 is the scariest game of all time!

Part of me is kind of worried that they're going to make some terrible, non-game related movie like they did with House of the Dead, but I have hope because they seem to have done a decent job with the Resident Evil movies.

Speaking of having hope:

Romans 5:3-5
3 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

I'm interested.. but curious how they can make a movie that would not disappoint fans of the series, while appealing to anybody else. Since the games have always concerned themselves with atmosphere over any thing else (most notably plot and sense) I don't know how this can happen.
I hope it does though.. but then the American McGee's Alice never happened either.

It will be hard. They'll need to make the movie so it isnt rated R at the same time make it really good.

The game is already rated M.
Who says they'll need to make the movie so it isn't rated R?

I couldn't really imagine a Silent Hill movie rated anything less than R.
