Signs from heaven

I live in Florida, and last night (around 12:00 am) the moon was an eerie dark shade of red. I know this is unusual, because although it was nearly full, it wasn't a harvest moon. And it's position has been slowly changing to more of a S/N than W/E; anyway, by 1:00 am it had turned to a bright orange, and then lightened throughout the night. Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep!

It is a sign; things are happening, so look up everyone!

There was recently a penumbal eclipse of the moon that was visible in Florida. What you are saying sounds like what an eclipse like this would look like. Do you think this is what you saw?

Hi Ozark; this happened last night. I have not heard anything about an eclipse event; the most recent news was the planetary lineup a couple of weeks ago that was visible. All I can say is that I look for the moon every night, (since I work late), and aside from it being nearly non-existant these past couple of months, what I saw 15 hours ago was just <strange>. It shook me so much that I actually started to cry.
I know there are people who will shrug this and that is okay, but I believe the normal cycle of seasons are changing. There have been recent weather erratics; the antartic melting due to the earth temp. increase, the earthquake activity increase, snow after heat, flooding, droughts, etc. It's all there.
I'm guess I'm just watching.
Anyway, I'll be looking up tonight.

There was a lunar eclipse that could be seen over North America, however it happened early Monday morning. As you know such a phenomena “turns the moon red.” If you saw a red moon early Tuesday or Wednesday morning, you indeed have a mystery on your hands.

I am a preterist. I believe the end that so many are worried about today already happened. I believe the prophesies so many think are about today are really about the end of the Old Covenant and the consummation of the New Covenant.

You may not be able to accept that, so let me encourage you with this. There is no room for fear in the Christian life no matter what is happening in the world. If you are a Christian, there is no safer place than where you are.

4But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. You are in Christ seated with Him in the heavenly places. Do you know what this means? It means that spiritually you are where God is. Right next to Him. You cannot get any closer to Him than you are now.

19Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? 1 Corinthians 6:19 (NASB)

Furthermore, you are the temple of the Holy Spirit. In the Old Testament God lived in a Tabernacle men built. You as God’s new creation are His Tabernacle today. Do you know what this means? It means that God is where you are. In Christ you are where He is. Christ in you means He is where you are.

18We know that no one who is born of God sins; but He who was born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him. 1 John 5:18 (NASB)

Do you know where Satan is? Because of Christ’s victory he is a foe that is crushed beneath your feet. He cannot touch you. In Christ you are above him in every respect. You don’t look up to find him or even eye to eye. You have been lifted up. He has been cast down.

Now, does where you are at as a Christian sound like a safe place to be? There is none safer. Sleep well knowing that no matter what happens, these things remain true.

I feel we are on the last leg of the journey, There are all sorts of things happening all around us that the Bible tells us to look for as signs. there are just too many things mentioned that are happening, and that haven't happened yet to believe anything other than the return of our saviour.

The End Times prophecies used to scare me and sounded like doom and gloom. But no more! I have come to realize how close we might be to the most exciting ride in our lives! Just think of it! God is in control, and we are his children, so there is nothing to fear about the end times. No one knows when that time might be, so keep looking for Jesus, and I'll see you in the clouds one day!

OK I'm a nascar fan and watched the race on Sunday night. The race continued into the night, and they showed a shot of the moon. It reminded me of an harvest moon. The race was in North Carolina, so when the moon finally rose here in Texas where I live, it looked normal.

Strange indeed!!!!!!!

I'm not sure if we should be taking many of those signs so literally...many times in the O.T. God spoke of signs such as these and was using them to show a decline in power of a world empire or nation...He use them in opposite with a rise in prominence as well...ie. the sun rising/brightening...God seems to use these governing symbols (sun, moon, stars govern the day and night in creation) to correlate with "governers" ,if you will, of their day...just a thought...

I think that is a great way to look at it. The Bible says to (fear not) well over 300 times. We should keep running the race, even with Satan in our face.

Wildfire, Hey I think you might be onto something here brother! Have you checked this against Luke21:25 by any chance? And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Did you check some of the other things occurring your area as described in these passages? You say you live in Florida and I don't know how close you live to the ocean, did you hear the waves roaring by any chance? I think all these need to happen all at once and then that is when we need to fasten our seat belts for that long awaited lift off into the outer ozonic spaces of our universe! Yes, yes, yes brothers and sisters we need to be ready!
I would advise you to keep on the lookout brother and keep me posted!

Hi Graft, I have a small prediction to make if I may....
I predict that after the next earthquake you hear about in the news your going to hear the 700Club or some other prophecy expert quote this scripture:
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

Yes Graft, there are things happening all around us everyday and some of these things we as mear humanoids cannot do much about an earthquake or floods or whatever else is beyond our power to try and change. All we can do as followers of Christ is be salt and light in this world that has no end.
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. (Eph3:21)

Franklin, this world shall pass away, Jesus said he would come on a cloud, well he was born into the world, and has yet to return on a cloud. There are to many things going on to think any differently. If I were to believe that everything took place already then surely I would be blinded to the things that are yet to come. I'm looking foward to a world where there is no evil, but at the same time I'm sorrowful for all the lost souls out there that are and will be suffering greatly.
