CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I like the moon, but then again I'm partial to the moon and stars!
There's something about the 'midnight hour' that makes me feel the closest to God, especially twilight and just before dawn. Oh, and a full moon is my favorite, especially when reflecting off of a body of water! You can't help but feel God's presence.

Thank you rainyday! I agree so much about a full moon. There's just something wonderful about it. I've always been partial to moons and stars myself. I'm very much a night person, so I thought the avatar with the cute little owl gazing at the moon was just perfect.

I suppose I'm hooked on celestrial things because they're 'HEAVENLY' ... thus Godly.
When this world's problems sometimes seen overwhelming in nature and never ending, it's good to look upward and be reminded, thus humbled, at how small I am in contrast to God's world. Not that God see me as a small detail, but it's just a reminder for me to remember that no matter how bad 'I' think I have things, there's always someone else out there who's experiencing worse. It's those moments I stop and thank God for all the blessings in my life. Worry about certain things only detracts from appreciating those things you DO have in your life, the things, people and blessings we take for granted sometimes.
