  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I love you guys and just wanted to let you know what a blessing you are. I believe that this forum is truly the epitome of what Christian love, charity, fellowship, and friendship is all about on CF. If every forum could be like this one, then CF would be a great place indeed. As it is, though, thank you all for being who and what you are and for being there for me when I am down. So no matter what happens, let's keep this place full of the love of Christ and never let it die! I love you!

Hmmm. . .do they teach virtual mind-reading at Liberty? :sigh:
While i don't know about mind reading, i know that Dear old Rev. Fallwell considers Calvinism to be an heresy...perhaps he should examine his adoration of Charles G. Finney before he looks at Calvinists...

Oddly enough, he tolerates them on his debate team...as long as they continue to bring home national championships.

Met the team from Liberty that took two national championships, two brothers. Them boys was frightening. Both Calvinists. Competed against that team at the Wake Forrest tourniment, close round.

Well, I know you mods do experience a lot of stress! We do love and appreciate all of your efforts to maintain quality posting in a godly atmosphere! Challenge of the century yet?
I was part of a year long church history class when I became a member of my reformed baptist church and was amazed at the change in perspective and understanding when one learns of how we arrived at where we are today in the evangelical world! I think everyone would benefit from such a study! It was good to learn where the baptists veered off the true path in years past that brings us to a diluted message and invitational system with a man centered approach today. I so thank our Lord for some of the current trends of many to return to the doctrines of grace!
So many seem to relish the conflict they find in hostile exchange of dialogue and I do not see how this could ever bring glory to our Lord! Its not apologetics that changes a heart, but regeneration and the touch of the Lord's spirit in love!
