‘Sicko’ it’s a great documentary film, the doctors hates it though.

Just saw it this weekend, GREAT documentary. But it might disturb you too much about what really goes on behind the scenes with healthcare.

Michael Moore is a master manipulater and a genius of edit. He never tells the complete truth only the parts he wants you to hear. Tell me if Cubans have such great health care, Why do thousands of them come here by the boat loads per year, risking life and limb to get away from Castro.

Also consider the cost. Cuba is a tiny island under communist rule. Which basivally means we give you "free"services in exchange for your freedom. The fact is the health care is not free, it is paid for in the extremely high taxes the citizens of that small country pay. Now bring socialized medicine here, how do you pay for the "free" health care for 300 million citizens plus another 20million illegal aliens. Simple you put a gun to the head of hard working americans demand they pay 60% in taxes and reditribute it. Then everyone can have free health care.

The film lost me when Moore went to Cuba.

And the HMO's and insurance companies are only part of the problem. Americans have atrocious diets compared to people in other developed nations and that leads to a whole host of health problems.

There is still a lot of truth in it. When I was a girl my AF dad was stationed in England,and my mom always said England has better health care than America and more amazing medical discoveries as well.
