Alrighty then, let's have a show of hands please. Who has ever had a spiritual or miracle experience which you know for a fact was evidence (to you at least) of God's presence and/or work.
Please elaborate..
Thankyou in advance for your thoughtful replies...
One morning, the Lord was "leading me" to fast from meat and sugar. He wasn't leading me to do this to make my salvation more secure, or to give me more of His grace, just a general leading with nothing attached to it. I agreed.
After a few minutes, I walked to the pantry and pulled out some Pop-tarts and ate them. I also grabbed some meats from the refrigerator and cooked them, and then ate them. In my heart I knew I had disobeyed, but I just rationalized it away by saying, "Well, my salvation is not in jeapardy, so I guess I'm alright!"
Then, I was going to start reading my Bible, but I decided to take a small nap instead. Then, I started to dream. I was playing a game of Scrabble with a guy, and a woman walked by and I invited her to play the game with us. Then, a very godly friend of mine walked by and I asked him to play as well. He told me he would rather "get into the Word." I then told him to lighten up and play with us. Then, in the dream, he started to chastise me, telling me that I was making Christianity a game. I then thought in my head, "You know what, this is just a dream. I can wake up and just ignore this whole thing."
When I awoke on the couch where I was sleeping, there was a person sitting on the top of the couch, but he would not let me see him. He then put his hand upon my chest and started to press downward. Fear started to fill my whole body, and I groaned out loud. The angel then said to me, "You are made of body, mind, soul, spirit, and faith. You need to build up your body." His words were like arrows literally piercing my ears. The fear of the Lord trembled my heart, and I saw another person in the distance looking on me, as if he approved of the rebuke. The angel was gone, and I looked up, and realized I had to stop making Christianity a game and start living right for God.
