i know how much migraines suck. this may be a dumb question but have you tried peppermint and feverfew?

to my head: stop. seriously. i'm over this. we've had MRI's. we've taken preventative and emergency medication. hormone therapy. massages. acupuncture...what else do you need to do to calm down? i'm this close...*holds forefinger and thumb in close proximity to one another*...to either a) decapitating myself. [and i'd rather not.] or b)...i dont have a plan be yet...

Have you thought of botox? I've had it recommended to me for migraines (haven't had the guts to try it though)...but if you've tried so much other stuff, maybe ask your doctor about it?

i havent heard of botox for migraines. i'll look into it.

My exboyfriend has horrible migraines. Daily. He ended up with a combination that left him migraine free for months.

He got on Topamax, but it didn't work that well by itself. He was also put on a blood pressure medication. He blood pressure was normal, but the combination of Topamax and the blood pressure pill basically eliminated the migraines. When he did get breakthrough migraines, only one every 2 or 3 months, he would take Imitrex and they would go away.

I'll be praying for you!

huh. my blood pressure is normal. its towards the low end of the spectrum. i wonder if something like that would work for me?

His blood pressure was normal, but the effects of the medication would not to lower his blood pressure but to dialate the constricted blood vessels in the brain (which causes the pain) and therefore provide relief. Not many doctors think to prescribe blood pressure medication for migraines but it does work.
