• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Should we vote for...

Should we Label it for "real christains only"?

  • Yes- It's true so we should do it!

  • No- That's crazy!

  • Not sure- but I suggest this...

A description on the side of our forum stating..

Conservative Christians-For Real Christians Only

Keep in mind that this doesn't mean we don't allow questions from non-christians or make changes any of the rules. This only means we include a small description on the side of our forum title. This doesn't mean that other denominations or people in other congregations aren't Christians it's a statement that we want a sanctuary for bible believing Christians who refuse to compromise. *This poll is strictly for conservatives only* Please provide a reason why you voted like you did and also be clear that this poll is open to other potential descriptions. I'm well aware that many are scared to take a strong stance because of our postmodern culture, but it good to atleast discuss it.

I like the idea of having label indicating certains threads and all polls are for conservatives only. I don't like this phrase of yours "Conservative Christians-For Real Christians Only" you might as well go over the liberals forum and beg them come here and flame us.

I agree Cyber. Not that I mind a motto which makes it very clear what we are. But that is where the emphasis should be. On what we are, not on what others are not.

I think it would be more productive to try to work on a pharse that focus on the divinity of the Trinity and our belief that the Bible is the owrd of God.

I have no problem with being a harsh during the web board shouting matches which occur but this is going to be our forums motto we should be stating what we stand for not taking a potshot at the liberals.

Not suggesting this specifically but Ohio's motto from Matthew 19:26 "With God, All Things Are Possible" is the type of general term I incline toward.

Some Liberals would get the point. A liberal group sued to force Ohio to change its motto. Conservatives, of course, defended it.

I know that's one of the things I love about my state.

I think it's definetly the direction we should head.

I voted yes with the addendum that "real Christians who believe in the Nicene Creed" otherwise we are sending a message I can not agree with. I am not comfortable with labelling something as real only if it is leans one side of the fence. Affirming the Nicene Creed however is simply providing a groundwork for common agreement.

just SLIGHTLY judgemental, i am not God, so i do not know who is a "REAL" Christian
Well the scripture says I'll shall recognize your works. Also this doesn't mean that people that aren't here aren't Christians it just means we welcome Real Christians.

Also what do you suggest as an alternative?

NewGuy101 I apologize since your intent wasn't to take a jab at others. But the current wording does seem like it could be very easily confused as such.

Absolutely NOT. Nicene Creed Christians is fine. Whatever. But not "real" Christians. It's a flame. People might be more liberal than us theologically but we have no way of knowing whether or not Jesus considers them "real" Christians.

In fact, if we put up the phrase real Christians I'll leave.

We don't have to be snide or cruel or arrogant here.

Well how would you rephrase it...

I'm working on some ideas I'm much better with numbers than wording so I'm not really coming anything yet I would want to present.
Also this is the part of the reason why I started that thread where I begged people to please do discussion threads before polls because how you intend something to be and how it comes across can very different especialy on the web.
