Should we praise God for evil

God is in charge of everything so when I do evil it is his will. That much I know.

So should I also praise God for all of the evil works I do since he us in control of what I do or do not do?

Ultimately everything that we deem bad is caused by God to do good(evil for us ultimately good being God's will).

So even if say lying for us us evil for God it is good for us to lie because it is his will for us.

So me lying is doing God's will. Doesn't that mean we should praise God for that ability?

I disagree here. God has given us the freedom to choose. Our sinful actions are the result of desires of the flesh - not the will of God. This is rather disobedience to God than control by the will of God.

God can make good from that which is bad. We can praise God when he provides revelation and good results from a bad action. But keep in mind that God can make the good greater and we should strive to do good and follow the true will of God.

We cannot earn salvation and no matter what the elect do we cannot lose it. We can do anything and still keep our salvation.

So we need to praise God for death and hopelessness as well as for life and hope.

Thanks form the answer...I knew it was Calvinist....but was not sure about Baptist.

Plenty of Baptists believe what is called "Calvinism." I admit the idea that man is sovereign is much more popular among Baptists.

wow such arrogance in the face of God. Going against God is evil The first one to do that was satan, why does God get blamed for evil when all He did was create free will, because he did not take a persons free will to go against him, now people blame him for their sin. I would be careful there you are calling good evil and evil good that is unforgivable.

I would not put the OSAS to the test you might find you were never saved. Not speaking of your salvation only God knows that for sure, but a warning about the road your on.

We should praise God that He's in control and uses evil to bring Him glory.

You should reread Job

You ask the hypothetical that Paul states in Romans 6:1...and it's nonsense to think that you should. It is to be understood and taken. God created the devil, yet we dont praise him.

I wouldn't. But then again, I'm not a 'Calvinist', and I certainly wouldn't say at this point that doing evil is God's will.

well, it is a worldly thing. believers following Jesus don't use the world's terminology, system, nor legal shinanigans, aren't deceived by it, and aren't under it's control any or much longer. salvation includes total freedom from all such. (but realize is very rare).
