Should we mark out any passage of Scripture that condones slavery?
Slavery is not politically correct, and seeming to condone it could offend some people.
Amen but I don't think that it's so much that so many are 'obsessed' with
homosexuality as so many are sick of the gay agenda being shoved on them.
I also wouldn't like it if it were taught in the schools that it's cool to be
a drunk, and we should embrace drunks in their lifestyle.
Or pedophiles or any other type of bondage.
We already condone and laugh about adultery
But yes, we are doing a poor job in the church with the
issue of homosexuality and the GLBT w/e people.
We tend to either lie to them and say "good for you"!
or we condemn them and tell them they're hellbound.
What would Jesus do?
But do you make parades honoring your sins?
lol
Are you serious?
people DO try to alter the Bible to suit their own sin already.
Did God "really" say that women should submit to their husbands?
ASk that question in GT once.

So the underlying issue here in the OP makes me highly upset. (Not you OP, I understand the
question.) Either we throw out all laws that make us uncomfortable like slavery, adultery, lying, etc., or we keep them All.
Either hold the same judgment for liar, adulters, greedy, drunks, etc. as homosexuals, or don't judge at all: no lukewarmness. A lot of homosexuals are dying spiritually because it seems as if the Church has a special fetish for this particular sin - and the Church judges this sin as if it is the most unpardonable sin ever. The fire is the same temperature for a "white liar" as it is for a homosexual, adulterer, and so on.
And, it isn't a disease it is bondage, as said before. All sin is bondage; calling it a disease is so that Pfizer can"help" you for $150/pill. All of us need Christ equally because at the end of the times a "homosexual" may make it to the kingdom and judge us! Don't be like the parable of the tax collector and Pharisee. Dare I say it, but people would probably TRY the same thing Rome did to Christ if He came back. We all know His time would be spent with sinners, including homosexuals. And, certain *ahem* churches would try to persecute and revile Him.
One more thing: there is no such thing as homosexuality (yes, I said it.) It is a powerful lie
- very powerful. So much so that it is usually manifest at the most vulnerable ages to ensure attachment. Gay means happy. There are people that are "frozen in" an attraction to the same sex, but the attraction alone isn't a sin. It is part of the lie from the enemy. The sin happens in the mind at lust, then acting on that lust. I am not championing conversion programs. Indeed, you may never not have same sex thoughts even after one is saved. But, there is an important distinction between the temptation and actual sin. Christ was tempted; He never sinned.
