  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Should we like write what we have learnt/gotten and notes and file it into a file?

So.. Here to discuss.. Should we just like file all our spiritual stuff into a file? So that when we look back we can find something that may help others.. Or should we just take one step find the other step? I think its quite lalala.. As in, very disorganised.. I find it a good way.. Any other ways to like remember and stuff?

your notes can be helpful for yourself as well as others, if you have children or plan to ever have them they can read your journal--notes, and see how your walk with God grew the strugles you faced, the wisdom God blesses you with and they will have a much deeper understanding of your spirit, the journal will become as a tresure to your Loved ones that holds your deepest thoughts.

One thing I did was sign up for the Daily Manna emails that send a passage of scripture to your email every morning. Then I started a blog that was just for that purpose and I would copy in the scripture, study the passage in the Bible and type up my understanding of what the scripture meant, and then write a little about how I can relate it to my life. It helped me both with daily Bible study and with seeing how the Bible continues to talk to us today.

Looking back on those posts now has been useful. I see things I "got" two years ago that I've already forgotten, and it's a bit of a wake up call.
