Should we have a "Questions Answered" thread?

I sent this proposal to the mods over a month ago but have received no response. So, I thought that I'd take it to the masses to see what y'all think;

The purpose of this PM is to ask for your permission to bend the FSGs for EC just a little bit. What I’d like to do is post a request to Christians and non-believers asking that they share some of their prior posts with us in which they either 1) answered a question in EC or GA that they felt was a solid answer to an inquiry or, 2) received an answer to an inquiry that really hit the nail on the head and would be of benefit to other seekers.

This would be outside of the FSGs as non-believers other than the OP would be allowed to post. I would emphasize that there will be no debate – just simply post the question and link to the answer. I feel that this would be very helpful to those who may not have the time to read back through both forums and might help the EC forum become more focused and allow it to move on to new topics.

Thank you for your consideration.
Tom O.

Would anybody like to see such a thread?

I said no. Some questions have simple answers. However, most questions end when the participants are exhausted -- not when the question is "answered".

New questioners often bring fresh light to the topic. They should not be shut down with a curt "That question was answered here."

If questions in this forum were of the nature "how many books are in the Bible", I might agree. But they are not.

Really, how many "How can you believe Christianity is true when there were so many attrocities committed in the Old Testament" threads do we need?

How many of Dark Prophet's "You Christians are all morons. Now justify your beliefs for me" threads do we need?

I should think the Christian answer would be, "As many as it takes."

As many as it takes for what? To give the atheists one more chance to show that they're not really interested in Christianity, only in insulting it and us?

This should be a place for non-Christians who sincerely want to know more about Christianity to ask questions, not a playground for atheists who just want to troll.
