Should TV show live war coverage?

Just curious as to what your thoughts were regarding the live coverage of the war?

I think it is good that we can keep up with the news and also get the news from a different perspective other than just the American perspective.

Even during the Gulf war 10 years ago, it seemed like we were not able to get enough news about what was going on. Or it was hard to get it from a different perspective. Now with the internet we can go to about any country in the world and get the news from their perspective.

Well, kids should definately not watch it. Some adults shouldn't either, but I don't see how it is wrong for others to see what the soldiers, airmen, and Marines see.

Plus it aides the intel community.

i think showing what out troops are going through is a two sided issue. good in that is shows how terrible war is and how it should be avoided as long as possible and bad because it is demoralizing to the families back home. i think we will keep seeing it though.

War has become a source of entertainment.

Though not for me.

I have no desire to sit on my sofa, stare at the TV and watch people die.

I watch it. I laugh. I cry. I am a lot of things while I watch but "entertained" is NOT one of them.

it's good in a way that for those who haven't experienced war can get "first handed" experience and see the ugliness of war; it's bad in a way that filming people killing each other may have undermined the honour and reason behind the fighting.

I'm glad because the reports always seem to say we're winning

I'm sad because the war is still going on.

I think it's good that they cover the war... live coverage, I don't know. never thought about it as entertainment....

We are at war with Iraq and our troops over there are an extension of us as a nation. We should be connected to the situation and praying for our troops.

Hmm I voted yes. I do not watch the news for entertainment purposes, but because this is something never shown/seen before. Also we get to see first hand how our troops are doing.
