Should or does a Missionary need to go to college?

Absolutely necessary? No. These days? I would highly recommend it. It matures you and teaches you how to really think.

It's probably best if a missionary does some study prior. You could major in Intercultural Studies, which is pretty common for people wanting to go into long-term missions. I have a lot of friends that are majoring in this for that purpose. A lot goes into ministering to different cultures and world views and knowledge and study on how to handle that is important.

But no, it's not absolutely necessary. It's not biblical that you have to fulfill anything to go out and testify about Jesus and God's work among the nations. But it's something to seriously consider.

Have you thought of doing missionary training? They have trainings at places like Beautiful Feet in Oklahoma and some other places.
