"The Law of the Lord is PERFECT....converting the soul", (Psalms 19:7).

This tells us that to be a converted Christian ...requires the knowledge of the 10 commandments, as found in Exodus 20:3-17.

The Law of God tells us what sin is (Romans 7:7....1 John 3:4).

To be free from the dominion of sin in our lives, we must have an understanding of the subject.

Because ...to merely accept Christ as our personal savior...and yet, still commit sin...is to render our salvation useless.

Salvation is freedom 'from' sin (Matthew 1:21).

If I understand you correctly, please let me know if I'm not. I must respectfully disagree. Once we truly accept Jesus as our Savior, nothing renders our salvation useless! That would mean the cross meant nothing and in actuality the Cross completed the payment! "IT IS FINISHED" in the original Hebrew actually means something closer to: PAID IN FULL. This is why Jesus is referred to as the Lamb of God, He was the ultimate, perfect blood sacrifice for the sins of all mankind. Salvation is freedom from sin, yes and that's wonderful news BECAUSE Jesus has finished paying the price for our sin. We deserve death for our sins but Jesus has paid the price FOR US! When we are saved by Him we have all our sins covered.
This is NOT a license to run around and do whatever you like as some people teach. You won't do that when you have truly met and become intimate with our Savior Jesus. You adore Him and do not want to do anything to harm those HE loves (mankind)! We ALL however fall short of the Glory of God. We do still make mistakes but we can go to the Cross and ask forgiveness.
Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven.
What an awesome thing to know, even though I do make mistakes, Jesus paid for them and I won't get death for them because I accept my precious Jesus as Lord and Savior, Son of the Living God and His gifts of Salvation and Forgiveness. Man, that is GOOD NEWS!!!
Woo-hoo!!!
