Any case against Kerry has one thing going for it that the Russian conspiracy theory still lacks: evidence.

I doubt anything will happen to Kerry because the law only applies to the plebs. But there’s no question that he violated the law.

Considering that one of Trump's own advisors called the Trump Tower meeting with Russian agents "treasonous", and considering that there remains no evidence that Kerry did anything disloyal, it seems you have it backwards.

Mueller is sorting it out. BTW, Trump's only exposure in that particular incident is dictating a memo that falsely mischaracterized the meeting. If a crime did happen there, then he's up for obstruction of justice.

Me too. As you know, evidence is required to get a conviction.

That was Trump's idea. But as one after another of his underlings go down and turn state's evidence, he's probably thinking that wasn't such a good idea, after all.

But there’s no question that he violated the law.

He's a democrat. And the Justice Department is run by a partisan republican. So if there's even a remote chance of putting a credible case together, he'll be indicted. That's a big "if." Doesn't look too likely, right now, does it?

What did Kerry negotiate? He did not advise Russian hackers to release stolen information. He did not conspire with Russian spies to subvert the 2016 elections while Russia was under US and NATO sanctions? Should Donald Trump go to jail for Logan Act violations? Trump was not President at the time. Paul Monafort, Kushner and Don Jr. reported directly to him. They met with a Russian lawyer with direct ties to Putin. That looks like a Logan Act violation. They wanted dirt on Hillary from an unfriendly nation. You can not convince me Trump knew nothing. He seems that way sometimes, but he has knowledge as he did not test positive for Alzheimer's. He has told 5000 lies and errors. He is part of a conspiracy to cover up felonies committed by his presidential campaign management. It reminds of me Nixon's Watergate conspiracy.

People were upset with Lt Colonel Oliver North for selling weapons to the Iranians while they were under a US imposed arms embargo. He diverted the weapons sale funds to the Contra anti-Marxist forces in Central America. Oliver North was given a suspended sentence, two years probation and fines. Oliver North got a show on FOX News and recently left to head the NRA.

We're just comparing the accusations to cases of real interference.

At this point, I think at least half of the politicians and assorted hangers-on in Washington should be in prison. That includes both parties.
