  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello everyone.I am a junior in college right now.It seems like within the past two years,I have felt a little lost.When I was in high school,I had everything togther and I had a plan.The plan I had did not go the way I wanted,so I ended up working and going to school.Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed and lost thinking about what does God have next for me?I'm really starting to realize things are not in my hands like I thought.Is it normal to feel this way?I also struggle sometimes feeling as though I am not doing enough in order to build the kingdom of God.I just feel like I just do school online and work,how can I minister to someone.Any advice please.

Quiet time & prayer; it does a lot to stabilize your mind. Turn off the radio when you're driving, turn off the TV when you're folding laundry, and whenever you're waiting on something, leave your phone in your pocket. Just take some time to appreciate what's around, and pray. Offer all this quiet time to God. Make sure to give Him time when you're just laying there, not being distracted by anything (as much as you can from a dorm!). God wants to help you; give Him the chance.

Give everything to God, including the struggle you're in right now. He wants you at your highest and lowest. Don't ever hide from Him because you think He won't want you as you are; that's bogus, illogical, and just plain doesn't work. Trust in our loving God, and I promise, He will not let you down.

Problems and struggles may be just giants in your life. Don't let that stop you from pursuing your dreams and plans in life. Meditate on God's Word and let Him take charge of your struggles and problems. Thank Him also even though things might not go as you planned and be excite and surprise for His plans for you.

This is exactly how I feel most of the time. It is completely normal. I am currently going to school for ministry and sometimes I still struggle with thoughts of me not doing enough. Sometimes it takes a while for us to fully understand that our best is indeed enough. As long as you do your best, you will do great!

My advice to you: Do not be too hard on yourself.

Easier said than done. Believe me, I know.

But try to get back on your feet when you fall. If you cannot make it to your feet, land on your knees. Because that, my friend, is the best place to be.
