I’ll ask again, are not Paul’s words the word of God? You seem to be omitting portions of the word of God to promote sexual immorality.Nah, not a word about the subject there. Or anywhere in the Gospels.
Well, I don't think they are. I think Christians are bound by the words they attribute to Christ. It is just a bit convenient when Christ's word doesn't support a belief to bring in somebody else's opinion. (It is just me, don't worry.)I’ll ask again, are not Paul’s words the word of God? I think making homosexuality illegal is a great idea but I don’t support a death penalty for it. The death penalty takes away a sinner’s ability to repent, I’d much rather give them the opportunity to repent and be saved than forever condemn them to the lake of fire.
The “fruit” mentioned in Matthew 7 is not children, it’s works that result from listening to Jesus Christ and doing what He said to do.
Textbook example of Poe's Law here. I genuinely have no idea if you're trolling or serious. If you are being serious, please get some help - this level of descent into conspiracy theories is unhealthy.
So it is not homosexuality itself that requires punishment, only homosexual activity. That is now clear, thank you.
Or, are you in favour of a theocracy of some kind - whether formalised, normative or just putative - that enshrines Christian strictures into legal code? And, if so, what other behaviours are you in favour of criminalising (or permitting)?
Paul was specifically chosen by Jesus Christ to deliver the gospel to the Gentiles. God never chooses a person for a task who will fail to accomplish it. What you’ve said here only proves that you are omitting certain portions of the scriptures in order to promote sexual immorality. This moral law was not set by Christians, it was set by God thru the men He chose to deliver His word to the world. It was the same in the OT as it is in the NT.Well, I don't think they are. Back to the topic. Christians are free to regard buggery as an abomination (though many of them do not) and refrain. It is not for Christians to set the moral law - or the actual legal framework - for everybody else, on the basis of their own personal beliefs.
I don’t care about secular government policies. Christians should not hold the US Constitution in higher regard than the Bible. Why? What interest does an explicitly secular government like that of the United States have in legislating religious morality in order to make homosexuality illegal?
Yes I am in favor of a Christian theocracy. Why? What interest does an explicitly secular government like that of the United States have in legislating religious morality in order to make homosexuality illegal?
Similarly, what interest does any state have in criminalising voluntary actions between individuals? Particularly ones where no rights are being infringed on, there is informed consent and no individual harm.

God said that twice and in both cases it was to populate the earth. He said it to Adam & Eve, and He said it to Noah. In both cases there was no world population. It is not a commandment for all to multiply, it was never commanded as such. That's many different kinds of fruit. Are you not familar with them all? Me neither. So you are saying that God told them in Eden to, do good works and multiply, and not be fruitful and multiply?
No, it isn't. The Gospels are the writings attributed to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. I thought there was general agreement about that.He just did. Don't get too caught up in cliche's and slang talk. The entire book is the gospel message.
I don't think I have said anything about my sexuality. I think it is your comprehension skills that need a bit of work.I understand you say you are not a practicing homosexual and I believe you, I think (after all, U.K.!)
Hmm. There is nothing in the Gospels about homosexuality. I thought we had established that.Paul was specifically chosen by Jesus Christ to deliver the gospel to the Gentiles.

Those are the gospel accounts of Jesus but Paul’s writings are also the gospel (good news). Jesus did say this, “Man does not live by bread alone but from every word that comes from God”. Are you saying that Paul’s writings are not the word of God?No, it isn't. The Gospels are the writings attributed to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. I thought there was general agreement about that.
Those were the books I was referring to.
