Should a calvinist ever date a non calvinist?

Some people may be able to. I am not one of those people. If I believed that it was merely due to ignorance rather than conviction I would get her to read passages like John 6 but if she came out an Arminian I don't know what I'd do. Maybe I'll just be a Baptist monk.

Wow didn't know that there are monks who are Baptist, also?!

Yeah, but instead of fasting we eat more. Seriously though, there probably could be Baptist monks, there just isn't. Most Reformed folks probably wouldn't go with the idea of permanent monasticism with no outside contact, but someone who avoids the outside world and writes a lot of books... that sounds like one of my professors... now that I think of it, that was what I was going to do anyway...

You obviously haven't met some English Baptists :p

Once went to a local Baptist church on holiday and found them all talking about how their new prayer beads are helping them to pray - they got them after their yearly retreat at their local monestary Oo

Wow. I would never have imagined that there are really Baptist monks. This concept seems so alien to their reformed theology.
But hey, frère roger WHO founded the communitad de taizé (France) was also a reformed Pastor. I've been there. Wonderful people. And all denominations and churches are welcome there

Interesting point of view of monasticism. I've never seen it that way.
