Shooting - The Democrats Won... I say that as the US President and Pennsylvania Governor all gave correct responses to the shooting. Next week will be important for the Republicans to respond with equal dignity. Any kind of war talk will work against them.

As a Republican I worry over next weeks response.
As a centrist, I worry about what will happen next week also. Both parties might fight with each other. Pray for both sides, and for the safety of Trump and Biden.

This centrist guy who is running for 2024 for a Christian party (American Solidarity party) said the same thing, and condemns the violence that happened during the rally.

No one cares about that. Well, you do, and thats admirable.

What will move people is that fist in the air, blood on the face, flag in the sky pic. Its priceless. No amount of correct response can match that.

With the caveat that I have a hard time understanding what appeals to most people these days:

idk… It’s a good image for sure, but I kind of feel like the folks who find that sort of thing appealing would’ve already been voting for him.

I scratch my head at the sentiment. I've seen many of my MAGA facebook friends say something along the lines of "well, that seals november for Trump!" Like, how is that supposed to work? Are Republican votes going to be counted twice or something to make up for the assassination attempt like a golf handicap? Do they really think that Democratic voters will change their vote to a sympathy vote for convicted felon Trump because some one tried to kill him? Do they really think that fence sitters, of which I am not convinced there are enough to swing the vote either way, will flock to convicted felon and accused pedophile and rapist Trump's side, again, out of sympathy?

It just doesn't track for me. This event will fire up the right's rhetoric but I don't think it will tip the scales much at all.

It's not as disastrous as Bidens debate performance, but it will certainly appeal to a certain, macho sentiment among some voters. It will be remembered in the same way as Theodore Rossevelt finishing his speech after being shot.

One has to hand it to Trump, he certainly knows how to use anything to his political advantage.

Knock it off! What happened during those few seconds after being shot was all adrenalin and he was probably in a state of shock. To suggest in those seconds he had some great master plan is ridiculous.

I think it's more an instinct for saying or doing the right thing in the spur of the moment than a well developed "master plan".

Yeah...the optics were good for Trump.

It will squelch the sort of half hearted attempt to paint Trump as "too old" for the job the left has been pushing.

It all depends upon how he plays it....

If he uses it as a call to unity....yeah, I think he can reach voters that previously were on the fence.

Probably the best thing for him that will come out of this.....is a severe toning down in rhetoric from the left.

It would be in extremely bad taste to continue to say things like...

"Trump will be a dictator" "Trump is a fascist/white supremacist" "Trump is a threat to democracy"....and the other scare tactics the left has been leaning on heavily. To say those things now....makes one seem like "part of the problem".

They go on and on about Trump being the worst person on earth who must be stopped at all costs.

And they've supposedly made up for that by tossing out a few platitudes?

All those posting all over the internet they are sad or angry it wasn't successful are at least being honest.

His master plan is making America a better country for its citizens. That's what's being fought so hard against.

I think that Trump is saying "Fight" while shaking his fist. But whatever he is saying, it's clear that his supporters were moved by such a display of defiance. Meanwhile Biden is clearly denouncing any political violence, calling for unity. Now Trump is also calling for unity. I now need to ask the question, what kind of patriotism led the people to choose the fighter Barrabas over the peacemaker Christ?

Every person running for any office will claim they want to make America a better country for its citizens. So, it depends on what making America a better country for its citizens actually means when they say it.

Trump:
The great silent majority is rising like never before, and under our leadership, the forgotten man and woman will be forgotten no longer, you’re going to be forgotten no longer. With your help, your love, and your vote, we will put America first.

And today, especially, in honor of our great veterans on Veterans Day, we pledge to you that we will root out the Communists, Marxists, fascists, and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country.

That lie and steal and cheat on elections and will do anything possible — they’ll do anything, whether legally or illegally, to destroy America and to destroy the American dream.

The real threat is not from the radical right. The real threat is from the radical left. And it’s growing every day, every single day.

The threat from outside forces is far less sinister, dangerous, and grave than the threat from within. Our threat is from within.

Because if you have a capable, competent, smart, tough leader. Russia, China, North Korea, they’re not going to want to play with us. And they didn’t.

Despite the hatred and anger of the radical left lunatics who want to destroy our country, we will make America great again.

Whatever we believe to be true will determine what we feel in our hearts. When we believe a lie, we're not being led by the Holy Spirit. When we believe a lie the heart is darkened. Every lie in the moral/immoral purview is meant to undermine Love others as you would want to be loved. To love others as yourself you have to see others as yourself. When we believe a lie said about others, the heart is darkened. Wherefore the Holy Spirit teaches that the slandering of others is the spirit of the devil. Likewise, demagoguery is a political tactic used to manipulate people by appealing to their fears and prejudices.

Having said that, Trump is asserting that in the United States there are fellow citizens amongst us who are sinister and dangerous vermin who want to destroy America and the American dream from within. He states that they are a greater threat to Americas interests than authoritarian leaders like Putin, or Kim Jong Un. Trump describes these sinister citizens as communists, Marxists, thugs, fascists, liars, election stealers, election cheaters, and he labels them "the radical left". <---This is classic demagoguery.

The fact is that there is no communist threat to capitalism from within our country. However, it would be useful political spin to mischaracterize as communists, those who are concerned with the problem of how unregulated capitalism is now driving our politics towards an autocracy with the power to control the entire economy we all depend upon. As the gap between rich and poor has widened, we are at the point where a handful of the very rich are allowed to buy enough government to control legislation and craft policy that serves their interests. So, it makes sense to attack Marxism if you're an autocrat, since Marxism is about analyzing injustices in socioeconomics.

Trump asserts that "the radical left" are the enemy because they are liars, thugs, election stealers and election cheaters. This is just Trump bringing to mind the same lie that the election was stolen from him by his political enemies. As we know, he tried to overturn the electoral vote count by trying to get Pence to recognize fake electors, and he was even indicted for doing so. Trump wants us to believe those who indicted him for trying to overturn the election so that he could stay in power, are the bad people. Effectually, anyone who doesn't agree Trump won the election is the enemy of America.

It's inevitable to come to the same kinds of conclusions regarding the radical left without any input from Trump. He's just the one who's taken it upon himself to spearhead the fight against the continuing deterioration of America via the radical left. We're sick and tired of the nonsense.

Reagan's shooting did lift his poll numbers. It is not about converting those on the left. It will inspire those on the right to make sure they vote. Some independents and undecided will vote Trump too.

Given the Kim Clement prophecy of Trump serving two terms, the near assassination, the decline of Biden, the lack of a Democratic plan, one almost has to conclude that God is influencing this election for Trump.
