“God…is incomprehensible, to our sense perceptions”
--Calvin, Institutes
If what Calvin says here is true, then Christ was not God. Christ was very much comprehensible to our sense perceptions.

“It is inconsistent with the nature of God to be represented… by any kind of likeness. . . . 'To whom then will ye liken me? for no image that is formed will have any likeness or resemblance to me.'”
--Calvin, Commentary on Isaiah
To whom will we liken God? Yeshua! If what Calvin says here is true, then the following places in the New Testament must be stricken from your bibles as blasphemy:

He is the IMAGE of the invisible God.
--Colossians 1:15

He is the REFLECTION of God’s glory and the REPRESENTATION of God’s being.
--Hebrews 1:3

who is the IMAGE of God.
--2 Corinthians 4:4

“God’s glory is corrupted by an impious falsehood whenever any form is attached to him”
--Calin, Institutes
If that's true, then Yeshua must have been false and corrupt in his person and/or being:

who existing in the FORM of God . . .
--Philippians 2:6

“He cannot be represented to our eyes…A true image of God is not to be found in all the world; and hence that His glory is defiled, and His truth corrupted by the lie, whenever He is set before our eyes in a visible form.”
--Calvin, Commentary on Exodus
If that's true, then you better rip out this out of your bible:

“From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.”
--John 14:7-9

You're confusing God in His essence as an invisible, omnipresent, eternal Being who is incomprehensible with Christ as a man. Christ is both Divine and human but no one saw with his physical eyes Christ's Divinity but only his humanity. John says: "No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known". (John 1:18 ESV), and that's how to understand Christ when He said “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? (John 14:9 ESV). So Christ wasn't meaning we can see the Father with our physical eyes but rather we can "see" with our minds what the Father's will is for us which is that He desires to be gracious towards us and save us. This is God's revealed will which isn't to be confused with His hidden will which determines whether we are to be saved or damned and which predestines us accordingly. By the way I don't regard myself as a Calvinist as I don't agree with limited atonement. I agree with Luther in holding that Christ atoned for the sins of the entire world.
