I have learnt something. I have always considered myself a conservative christian however I read this forum and have realised I am in fact more moderate than conservative. Thank you for this forum.

Welcome to CF! I get a giggle out of your last comment; you are in England, so you see the issues of your local Church (referring to Anglicans) in more detail than other churches. But when you look close enough at any Church there seems to be the same level of division. Right now there is a major split within Catholic congregations right in the US mid-west being discussed in their sub-forum, over the stance on same sex marriage, as just one example. The participants in the thread are about evenly split on each side, with no one willing to budge an inch. I use this as an example because this has long been a prominent issue within Anglican Churches, but we might expect solidarity on this from Catholics.
Anyway, "let your moderation be known unto all men" is still part of my Bible![]()
What blew me away after joining CF was conservative groups evan within their own denominations that are not in communion with each other. I mean how many different ways did the Lord communicate that He wanted us His disciples to be one as He and the Father are one.
It dosen't do any good to have your theological ducks in a row if they are headed in the wrong direction.
