You're free to talk about whatever you want. I'm simply pointing out that a good many people now seemingly concerned with the Christian virtues of mercy and grace only seem to care about those things when it suits their purposes.

And a good many people don't seem to care about them at all, and get their knickers in a twist when they are reminded of them.

And the Bishop was really speaking to them, through Trump. The reaction to her remarks was telling, even in this forum, and in the wider world. She was right on target, it's time to hit harder.

Yes. But I doubt Trump CHOSE to organize the prayer service, where it was located, who would speak etc

The one who organized it should have thought more clearly...since the Episcopal Church isn't known to be conservative, nowadays.

The inaugural committee puts those things together and they work for Trump. I'm sure the Episcopal Cathedral in Washington was glad to host when asked (as they have done many times before), but the inaugural committee had options and choices and they *knew* what the exact same bishop had said about Trump and his "bible stunt" at that Episcopal church near the White House in the summer of 2020. It's almost like Trump *wanted* your outrage at whatever criticism the bishop might make.

I'm not talking about her. I'm talking about the opportunists who suddenly seem to care deeply about the Christian virtues of grace and mercy. But only as it pertains to certain policies, naturally.
