12:1 Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from
among the children of men.
12:2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbor: with flattering lips
and with a double heart do they speak.
12:3 The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that
speaketh proud things:
12:4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our
own: who is Lord over us?
12:5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now
will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that
puffeth at him.

12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace
of earth, purified seven times.

12:7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from
this generation for ever.
12:8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.​

Psalm 121

A song of ascents.

1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?

2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;

4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;

8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

I came across this Psalm soon after becoming a Christian. I was worried about something and seeking help from God. I found this Psalm using one of those "what to read when.." and God really spoke to me. God is watching over me and taking care of me. Plus if I need help I just need to look to "the maker of heaven and earth." Who better to ask for help than the One who made the world and knows how it all works?!

Since then this Psalm has had a special place in my heart and I can almost remember it in full simply because I've read it and thought about it and prayed it so much over the years.
