Sharing the Light

As we travel through this world and through the days and seasons to which we've been appointed, we can be a constant source of light to all who happen to see us.

Or not. We can be a source of darkness or dimming (forgive us Lord) if we carry a negative attitude, for through it we will only see the bad things around us.

The Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is simply full of light, and it's full of instruction on how to look with bright eyes, not dim ones. Look for the positive! See and respond to the goodness of God, which is everywhere. Savor His presence in all circumstances, for in noticing Him, acknowledging Him, our light shines brighter for others to see Him (for it is through His beloved that His light shines in the here and now).

I pray for God to give me the outlook that pleases Him as I make it through another day, leaving little trails of His light, and never putting out the light He has sent.

Keep my words and my thoughts, and my actions, from causing others to look disparagingly on this world, for God made this world, and made us to live in it, and has given us the light of the world, which is our precious Jesus, to show us how to walk in light. And in that light, may I share His Word (which is true) by what I think, say and do.

Romans 10:14 (KJV) How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

We can help or we can hurt in reaching the world for Christ. Because the world can't see a thing without His light shining through us. The greatest argument for Christ is the light that shines through us. Let the living Word shine!

“Let the lower lights be burning! Send a gleam across the wave! Some poor fainting struggling seaman you may rescue, you may save” Words from a favorite gospel hymn, and worth pondering.

Let’s bring souls to Jesus for Him to save today by shining the light He's given us! PRAISE HIS NAME!

Though we are not in denial of the bad things , we can't rightly dwell on them either ; not without letting Christ's Light of Mercy , Grace , and Truth shine rays of Faith , Hope , and Charity as a Witness of The Salvation which God has wrought and is working in and throughout our lives , who call upon The Name of Jesus , to Rescue us from ourselves and the predicament of our foolish ways increasing and compounding the hazards and the troubles of this world .

How miserable would we be , if not for The Light of Jesus Shining , so that we can see ; the way to escape our own depravity .

Thankyou Lord for Your Precious Light !

[ For ] ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. <-----> 1st Peter 2:9

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. <-----> Romans 10:11

You've made a very good point: we are not in denial. It is more like we've overcome them, isn't it? Through Christ Jesus, who is the only way to put those bad things in perspective. There's victory in Jesus!

Thanks for these beautiful and most relevant scriptures, truly a collection of favorites, full of power and glory; and it is glory for the Father that matters most as we let Him shine through us. After all, it is, was, and always will be His plan for there to be light.

Genesis 1:3 (KJV) And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

John 8:12 (KJV) Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
